Avocando as orientações planadas no Plano Estratégico para as Migrações 2015-2020 (PEM) e na Estratégia Nacional para a Integração das Comunidades Ciganas 2013-2020, no âmbito de uma candidatura submetida ao Alto Comissariado para as Migrações (ACM) enquadrada no Programa Operacional Inclusão Social e Emprego (POISE), com o apoio do Portugal 2020 e do Fundo Social Europeu, o Projeto TDI – Território Desenvolvido e Intercultural é promovido pela Câmara Municipal de Guimarães em parceria com a Sol do Ave.

According to the guidelines outlined by the Strategic Plan for Migration 2015-2020 (PEM) and by the National Strategy for the Integration of Gypsy Communities 2013-2020, the Municipality of Guimarães, in partnership with the Sol do Ave Institution, submitted an application to the High Commission for Migration (ACM), accordingly to the framework of the Portuguese Operational Program to social Inclusion and Employment (OPSIE), with the support of the Portugal 2020 program and the European Social Funding, called “DIT Project - Developed and Intercultural Territory”.

O TDI é um projeto de mediadores municipais e interculturais junto das comunidades ciganas e migrantes do Concelho de Guimarães, em curso neste território de 2019 a 2021. Prevê, para o efeito, o desenvolvimento de diversas ações em diferentes dimensões da vida destas comunidades favoráveis à sua integração, desde a mediação escolar, a promoção da sua empregabilidade, compromisso com a saúde, a organização associativa e participação cívica. Este projeto contempla ainda a organização de um mercado intercultural e a criação de uma Rede para a Interculturalidade que pretende mobilizar a comunidade institucional no aprofundamento do diálogo intercultural entre estas e a restante comunidade vimaranense, contribuindo para a desconstrução de estereótipos e para a valorização da diversidade cultural.

The DIT project elects municipal and intercultural mediators among the gypsy and migrant communities of the Guimarães Municipality, which is in progress in this territory from 2019 to 2021. It provides, for this purpose, the development of several actions in different dimensions in the life of these communities, favorable to their integration, in the spectrum from school mediation, to the promotion of their employability, the commitment to health, on the associative organization, until the civic participation, actively intervening in these all areas. This project also includes the organization of an intercultural market and the creation of a Network for Interculturality, that intends to mobilize the institutional community and the involvement and deepening of the intercultural dialogue between these and the rest of the Vimaranense community, contributing to the deconstruction of stereotypes and to the valorization of cultural diversity.

2. Exposição de Fotografia “Singular do Plural”
"Singular of the Plural" Photographic Exhibition

A iniciativa “Singular do Plural” – exposição de fotografias: 20 - profissões, pessoas, ciganos e ciganas, promovida pela EAPN Portugal, tem como objetivo influenciar, positivamente, a imagem social sobre as comunidades ciganas na sociedade maioritária, contribuindo para um melhor conhecimento sobre estas e para a construção de uma sociedade mais justa e inclusiva.

The main purpose of the "Singular of the Plural" Photographic Exhibition initiative, promoted by EAPN Portugal, is to positively influence the social image of the minority Gipsy communities in the general Caucasian/European communities, trying to demystify the prejudice and contributing to a more just and inclusive society.

Foi criada para desmistificar um plural – “os ciganos” – supostamente representativo de uma entidade coletiva apenas imaginária, e quase sempre negativa, que procura classificar o todo ignorando as partes. Neste sentido, esta iniciativa interpela os discursos que legitimam o desenvolvimento de atitudes de discriminação face a estas comunidades, dando a conhecer testemunhos de mulheres e homens com vista a mostrar, à sociedade em geral e às comunidades ciganas, que existem outras realidades sobre as mesmas, nomeadamente no acesso à educação e ao emprego.

Particularly, this It was created to demystify a plural conception - "the gypsies" - supposedly representative of a collective entity, only imaginary and almost always negative, that seeks to classify the whole by ignoring the parts. In this sense, this initiative addresses the discourses that legitimize the development of discrimination attitudes against these communities, giving testimony of women and men, in order to show, to society in general and the gypsy communities, that there are other realities about them, particularly in access to education and employment.

A Exposição Fotográfica “Singular do Plural” tem decorrido em diversos locais do país e chega a Guimarães no dia 24 de maio, contando com a parceria do Município de Guimarães, da Associação Sol do Ave e do Museu de Alberto Sampaio, onde estará patente ao público até ao dia 20 de junho.

The "Singular do Plural" Photographic Exhibition has been desplayed in several places in the country and arrives in Guimarães on May 24, with the collaboration of Guimarães Municipality, Sol do Ave Institution, and Alberto Sampaio Museum, where it will be open to the public until the 20th of June. The objective of this initiative is to positively influence the social image of gypsy communities in the majority society, contributing to a better knowledge on them and for the construction of a more just and inclusive society.

O lançamento do Projeto TDI contará ainda, além da exposição de fotografias, com uma pequena mostra de alguns valores culturais da etnia cigana e, ao longo do mês com a dinamização de workshops formativos pela EAPN Portugal, que aprofundarão o conhecimento sobre a intervenção com as comunidades ciganas, a saber:

The launching of the DTI Project will also include, in addition to the exhibition of photographs, a small sample of some cultural values of the ROMA population, and during one month, the dynamization of training workshops by EAPN Portugal, that will deepen the knowledge about the intervention with the gypsy communities, namely:
